With my province, my home, declaring a state of emergency, I am left feeling uneasy. Today's decision to choose joy was admittedly a bit harder than yesterday.

Choose Joy

Hi all!

Like everyone else, I've been watching social media and seeing a mix of posts: memes, jokes, fake news, real news and real fear. While I'm not an "influencer" with a large following, I believe I can have an impact on the world - or at least, my world.

I drove to work today on empty streets, very aware of the rapid changes and unknows of tomorrow. I am married to a first responder, an essential service. While most of Canada is experiencing change, our lives will continue as normal as our normal ever is. Please don't get me wrong, we will be taking hand washing, uniform washing and disinfecting common surfaces in our home seriously. We also have a plan for our own quarantine, if needed.

Amidst the fear, change, unknown, and isolation we are all feeling, I want to choose joy and share joy with you today.
